Garment Care
Caring for your LUKE ARCHER garment correctly is essential to ensure that your purchase lasts as long as you enjoy wearing it; this is why it is important for us that clientele understand how to care for their Luke Archer garment, whether this be hand wash, cleaned in a domestic washing machine or professionally dry cleaned.
PLEASE NOTE - THE BELOW INFORMATION IS FOR REFERENCE ONLY
All of our garments incorporate a specific care label, which will advise on the best way to wash to ensure garment longevity.
100% Silk Garments
Washing
Silk is one of the most delicate fabrics available, and that's what makes it so luxurious, that's why it is recommended that garments constructed from 100% silk should be hand washed only, using washing powder and warm water.
Drying
To dry the garment, simply lay it over a dry towl or use a dry sponge to dab the water out of the garment. be sure not to leave creases in the garment if drying over a towl.
Ironing
When ironing, ensure that the iron is set on it's lowest setting. It is also benificial to iron the garment while they it is still slightly damp.
Cotton & Cotton Mix Garments
Washing
Cotton can be washed using a domestic washing machine, using a setting which is below 50°C to preserve the colour and the fabric of your garment. It is best to use non-chlorine washing powder/liquid.
Drying
It is highly recommended that 100% cotton garment(s) are not to be tumble dried, as this may cause shrinking of the garment, and should be dried naturally by draping over a clothes airier or similar.
Ironing
Can be ironed as normal.
Viscose garments
Washing
Wash viscose clothing inside out at a maximum of 40°C on a delicate programme. Your machine should be two-thirds full.
Drying
Dry on a hanger (never tumble-dry).
Ironing
Iron while still slightly damp.
ALWAYS REMEMBER TO SEPERATE WHITE GARMENTS FROM COLOURED GARMENTS WHEN WASHING. FAULIRE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN TRANSFER OF COLOUR.
